Moving home to Aotearoa New Zealand, from exhibiting at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, Dubbo, NSW, Australia,  has provided opportunities to be closer to family and the thriving re energised New Zealand art scene.

Adding to practical art skills and media with a Diploma in Ceramics will fill most of my spare time this year, between grandparenting and work.

Working not only in bronze, but also with traditional ‘female’ media I re-examine the concepts of female identity.  Using materiality as a conduit for the transference of knowledge around these traditional craft practices.

In my work I highlight the importance of these skills of the past and link them in a contemporary way to the present.
